Join me in Pearl River County tomorrow night for this exciting announcement!

Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson will address the Pearl River County Cattlemen’s Association on Tuesday, April 12, at the Mississippi State University MAFES –White Sands Unit in Poplarville. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m., and Commissioner Gipson will speak around 6:10 p.m.
Commissioner Gipson will be joined by Dustan and Bridgette Ladner, owners of A Cut Above Processing and Meat Market, to discuss the opening of the new USDA-inspected livestock processing facility. A Cut Above Processing and Meat Market is scheduled to open this summer in Hancock County. The facility will slaughter and process cattle, hogs, goats, and lambs. The new processing facility was partially funded by the Mississippi Land Water and Timber Board, co-chaired by Commissioner Gipson, to fill the need for increased livestock processing capacity.
